Biography

Sophie Bevan studied as a Karaviotis Scholar with Lillian Watson at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School where she was awarded the Queen Mother Rose Bowl for excelling in music.

Her concert repertoire ranges from Handel's 'Samson' to James Macmillan's 'Parthenogenesis' and she has worked with conductors including Nicholas Cleobury, Martin Andre and Sir Charles Mackerras. In opera she has worked for English National Opera,[1] Welsh National Opera, Garsington Opera, Opera de Baugé and the Classical Opera Company for whom she was an Associate Artist.[2]
